We are offering 3 curricula, tailored to high school classrooms and relating to different aspects of the exhibit.

These curricula can be taught both in classrooms or at the exhibit during one of our Students Days.

All curricula are

40 minutes: 

20 min. lecture-based,

20 min. interactive.

Social and Political Implications

This curriculum covers the social and political situations surrounding the yellow fever epidemic, and how it impacted people and the city overall

Clinical Perspectives and Practices

This curriculum examines the history of yellow fever as a disease and how it was treated by physicians of the time, and our current understanding of yellow fever.

Individual Experience of Yellow Fever

This curriculum covers the psychology of epidemic and how yellow fever affected the literature of its day .
